We are thrilled to welcome back Dinesh Tyagi, whose visionary leadership has been instrumental in transforming the Common Services Centres (CSC) into a powerful force for digital inclusion in rural India.

Under his guidance, CSCs expanded dramatically—from around 60,000 centres in 2014 to over 550,000 centres by 2022, empowering approximately 1.5 million—15 lakh—village-level entrepreneurs and revolutionizing access to vital services like banking, healthcare, land records, pension enrolment, and Ayushman Bharat insurance.


Dr. Tyagi’s leadership extended far beyond expansion—he guided CSC through the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling telemedicine platforms to scale dramatically from 6,000 to 60,000 tele-consultation points. He also spearheaded the engagement of “digital cadets,” creating jobs for over 4.5 lakh cadets serving villages as teachers, bankers, and digital doctors, while logging 220 crore digital transactions—an outstanding testament to entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and financial inclusion As he returns to the helm, we are confident that his commitment to innovation, social impact, and visionary governance will further strengthen CSC’s mission.
